For moving companies
How moving companies get jobs here
From application to payout, this is the whole path a job takes through Hire Moving Labor — what you control, what the customer sees, and when money moves.
The seven steps
1. Create a provider account
Provider sign-in is separate from the customer side of the marketplace, so your business dashboard stays distinct from any personal booking account.
2. Build the listing
Company name and description, the services you offer, crew sizes with your hourly rate and minimum hours for each, and any specialty work such as piano moving, gun safes and items over 300 lbs, or furniture assembly and disassembly.
3. Set coverage
A base address and a service radius in miles, refined by zip code where you want tighter control. Jobs outside that coverage never reach you.
4. Save your hours and caps
Weekly working hours per day, plus a daily job cap. Turn off accepting bookings or set vacation dates when you are not taking work.
5. Submit documents for review
Upload the business documents requested during the application. Our team reviews every provider before the listing goes live, usually within two business days.
6. Receive and answer requests
A request arrives with the date, arrival window, addresses, service, crew size, estimated hours, and your estimated earnings. Accept it or decline it from the dashboard.
7. Do the job and get paid
You perform the labor as an independent business. After the job is marked complete, your payout is typically released to your connected Stripe account within 1–3 business days.
What you control
- Your hourly rate for every crew size you list, and your minimum hours.
- Which services and specialty services appear on your profile.
- Your base address, radius in miles, and zip-level coverage.
- Your weekly hours, your daily job cap, and your vacation dates.
- Whether to accept or decline any individual request.
What the marketplace handles
- Showing your listing to customers whose address and window you actually cover.
- Authorizing the customer's card at request time and capturing after you accept.
- Releasing your payout to your connected Stripe account after job completion.
- Applying the booking terms on cancellations and refunds.
Hire Moving Labor is a marketplace. It does not employ movers, does not own or drive trucks, and does not promise a number of requests or a level of earnings. Customers book labor-only help and supply their own transportation.
Provider questions
- What do I need to apply?
- A provider account, your company details, the services and crew sizes you offer with your rates and minimum hours, your base address and coverage radius, and your business documents for review.
- How long does approval take?
- Our team reviews every provider application, usually within two business days. You are notified when the listing is approved or if something is missing.
- How is my service area decided?
- You set a base address and a service radius in miles, and you can refine coverage by zip code. Customers only see your listing when the job address falls inside that coverage.
- How do my hours work?
- You save weekly working hours. A customer's chosen arrival window is matched against those saved hours, so you are only shown for windows you actually cover.
- Can I limit how many jobs I take in a day?
- Yes. You set a daily job cap, and you can turn off accepting bookings or set vacation dates when you need to stop receiving requests entirely.
- What happens when a customer requests my company?
- The request appears in your dashboard with the date, arrival window, addresses, service, crew size, estimated hours, and your estimated earnings. You accept or decline it.
- When is the customer charged?
- The estimated amount is authorized on the customer's card when the request is submitted, and captured after you accept. If you decline, the authorization is released.
- When am I paid?
- Hire Moving Labor typically releases your payout to your connected Stripe account within 1–3 business days after the job is completed. Bank deposit timing depends on Stripe, your payout schedule, and your bank.
- What does the platform take?
- A 25% commission on work booked and completed through the marketplace. There is no listing fee, subscription, or per-lead charge.
- What if a customer cancels?
- Cancellations are handled under the booking terms in place at the time, and refunds are processed through the platform rather than between you and the customer directly.
