Help Loading Your U-Haul Rental Truck
If you've reserved a U-Haul truck or trailer, an independent crew can load it while you focus on the drive. Compare local companies by rate and minimum hours, then request help for your pickup time.

Compare companies near you →Before the crew arrives
- Pick up the truck early enough to be parked before the arrival window.
- Note the truck size and whether you rented pads or a dolly.
- Check the loading ramp and cargo area are clear.
- Keep your rental paperwork and keys with you.
How rental trucks get loaded well
Heavy appliances and dressers go first against the front, then tall pieces, then boxes in tiers. Straps secure each section. A careful load helps reduce shifting while you drive, though you remain responsible for the vehicle.
Pairing with unloading
If the destination is nearby, book loading and unloading together. If it's far, book unloading separately near the new address.
